The spectacularly revised and modern production of Godspell (2001).
Godspell is loosely based around the parables taken from the New Testament book of Matthew. It can be enjoyed for its religious content or as a funny, sad, uplifting and feel good show.
With hugely popular songs including Day by Day, Prepare Ye and All Good Gifts, this production will introduce several effects that have not been seen on the Concordia Stage before and should literally take your breath away. This will in no way compromise the immense talent we have retained within our ranks who will be performing to the high standards expected by our audiences.
Alex Lacamoire
The production contains the traditional script and lyrics but with a score that brings the show up to date with a totally modern feel. Originally written by Stephen Schwartz, we have managed to hire the 2001 Broadway and USA Tour version of the music, arranged by the Grammy award winning arranger and composer Alex Lacamoire. Alex has been extremely helpful in our efforts to put on this show and we would like to thank him for his support. Here he is - listening to the grammy award that he won for "In The Heights". |
